Planning on throwing a Halloween party that will impress the living and the dead? Well this list of cocktails is sure to jolt your guests back to life! From some spooky classics to monstrous creations, we've gathered a bunch of cocktails from across the web to cook up in your lab!
1. Halloween Sangria
Its deep red colour and sweet fruity taste makes this classic perfect for Halloween. Opting for a sweeter wine, a greater variety of citrus fruits, ginger ale and bonus cinnamon sticks really brings out the sweetness in this drink, summoning the Halloween spirit! Try adding frozen grapes instead of ice, like the recipe suggests, to mimic floating eyeballs, adding to the spook factor without watering down your drink!

2. Black Widow Cocktail
Perhaps a Redback would be scarier for us down under but the Black Widow still sends shivers down our spines! Mixing mezcal, lime juice, blackberries, concord grape juice and simple syrup together and topping it off with ginger beer, this cocktail will get your tastebuds crawling! Don't forget to garnish with blackberries or spider lollies to really seal the deal.

3. Bloody Mary
This haunting concoction is not for the faint hearted. Combining vodka, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco and the iconic celery sticks the Bloody Mary is not your typical cocktail. If you're brave enough, you'll find yourself calling for a top up, just like the urban legend suggests!
No need to chant its name three times though, you can find the recipe here: Bloody Mary Recipe
4. Bloody Margarita
If the thought of a Bloody Mary isn't scary enough for you (it is for me anyway) you can stick with a bloody marg- a Blood Orange Margarita that is. Substituting fresh blood orange juice for your typical citrus can add a scary twist to a fan favourite and tastes just as good!
You can find the recipe here: Blood Orange Margarita Recipe
5. Apple Cider Spritz
In a Frankensteinian fusion, combine autumnal flavours of apple and pumpkin with a Summer classic, the Aperol Spritz (the perfect combo for an Aussie Halloween). Add apple slices and a cinnamon stick to complement the autumnal aesthetic and top off with Prosecco for that special sparkling to liven up the party!

6. Vampire's Kiss
You can count on this drink to get your guests' spirits lifted! With the romantic charm of sparkling, the powerful bite of vodka, and the rich essence of raspberry liqueur, pay homage to this iconic creature of the night. Why not add a sugary blood drip on the rim of the glass and some gummy fangs as a garnish to give you something truly chilling to sink your teeth into?

7. Corpse Reviver
This classic screams Halloween! Deemed strong enough to reanimate the dead, the Corpse Reviver No. 2 is a gin sour cocktail quite similar to a margarita- replacing the tequila with gin and adding vermouth or Lillet Blanc and Absinthe.

8. Witches' Brew Lemonade Gin
With the Wicked movie on its way, Marvel's Agatha All Along series taking off and so many more witchy classics to enjoy this month, 'tis the season of the witch. So, what better potion to make than a witches' brew! This charmingly light cocktail is sure to keep your guests happy up until the witching hour with its purple glow and magical concoction of blue Curaçao, Indigo Gin, and sparkling lemonade.

9. Midori Sour
Another classic cocktail except this one has a ghoulish green glow. Combining the sour flavours of Midori, lemon and lime juice with soda water (club soda) and vodka, this drink is bound to make you squirm! If you've seen the new, wildly wacky, gross out horror flick, The Substance, starring Demi Moore, then this drink may remind you of the titular serum- which would be perfect served in syringes to stay on trend!

10. Ghost Cocktails
To close off our creepy cocktail list is a cute little treat that will do the trick! Super rich and creamy, this cocktail is definitely for the sweet tooth, combining the comforting flavours of white chocolate and cream. But this ghost wouldn't be complete without a spirit; vanilla vodka to be exact!
