A bit more about the wine:
The 2023 Picardy Chardonnay is crafted from four Dijon clones—76, 95, 96, and 277—offering complexity and finesse. The cooler, dry season reveals aromas of white peach, jasmine tea and spring florals, with hints of ginger, orange peel and fennel seeds. On the palate, refined acidity balances creamy fruit, while crushed nuts, brine and white pepper linger. Elegant and textured, this Chardonnay ensures longevity and bottle development while remaining approachable in its youth.
The 2022 Picardy Pinot Noir offers a captivating perfume of hibiscus, rose and vibrant fruit notes of cherries, plums and pomegranate. It deepens with red bush tea, pimento, cedarwood and earthy terra cotta and woodsy herbs. On the palate, ripe red fruit is balanced by fresh acidity and fine, svelte tannins, with a dense concentration of fruit. Drinking beautifully now, it has the potential to age for 5-8 years, crafted with future enjoyment in mind.
