With this in mind, Old Bridge Cellars has teamed up with its mates at Metricup brewery, Beerfarm once again to create a wintery-style beer that is set to grab the attention of beer lovers across the state, sitting at a cheeky 9.5% ABV.
Introducing the Brekky Scroll Pastry Stout, a decadent, rich and sticky stout made using over 70kg of specialty coffee beans from renowned Perth cafe and roaster, Stomp Coffee.
The three-way collaboration has resulted in a beer with tasting notes of cinnamon, vanilla and a good dose of roasty coffee - the perfect beer to have alongside a morning cup-of-joe (or instead of….if they had it their way).
To celebrate the launch, Old Bridge Cellars, Beerfarm and Stomp Coffee are giving away 250g bags of Stomp’s latest house blend, made up of Brazil, Honduras and Ethiopian coffee beans valued at $16, with every pre-sale 4-pack of beer purchased.
The Brekky Scroll Pastry Stout goes on pre-sale from today, and can be picked up from either Old Bridge North Fremantle or Old Bridge Como on Friday 10 June when the beer officially hits the shelves. The collab beer with the bonus beans will be $39.99 for a 4-pack.
Punters not interested in jumping onboard the pre-sale special will be able to try before they buy at an in store tasting at both Old Bridge Cellars stores from 4pm - 7pm on launch day, Friday 10 June.
To keep the party going, the following evening Stomp Coffee will be creating a pop-up beer garden in its alfresco and hosting a party with live music and Beerfarm brews on tap. The event will be on Saturday 11 June and will run from 4pm - 10pm at its North Perth venue on Angove Street.
