After a recent trip to South Australia exploring the wine regions, we have arrived back inspired and re-invigorated by the amazing quality of wine that comes from this area, particularly the Barossa Valley!
Old Bridge Cellars is privileged to host Troy Kalleske, 7th generation Barossan, for an exclusive look at over 170 years of winemaking and grape growing history. Join us for a sit-down masterclass-style event on Thursday 20th June. You'll taste through multiple flights of Kalleske wines led by Troy himself, with substantial canapés thoughtfully paired by the talented Rossen & Cook chefs, Lily and Monika.
Enjoy a curated snapshot of the winery, featuring eight wines to savour over the evening. Begin with some fun varietal expressions and then delve into what Kalleske and the Barossa Valley is renowned for—Shiraz! Highlights include a brand-new Chenin Blanc Semillon blend, underrated varietals Durif and Zinfandel, the very special Johann Georg Shiraz made from vines planted in 1875, and a luscious, fortified Shiraz to finish.
At Kalleske, a holistic, natural approach to winemaking emphasises soil and vine health, grape quality, and minimalist techniques to produce premium wines. Their certified organic and biodynamic wines are estate-grown and vinified using traditional methods, capturing the vineyard's essence and creating genuine handmade estate wines.
Don't miss your chance to experience the essence of the Barossa Valley right here in WA.
