To perform a Jeté leap, ballet dancers must master poise, dedication and elegance. To produce a bottle of Howard Park's Jeté méthode traditionnelle sparkling, their winemakers must do the same.
The Jeté sparkling range is grown in the cool climate Great Southern region, which is perfectly suited to growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes which share similarities with the climate of Champagne, France.
Here at Old Bridge Cellars, we consider Jeté as one of Western Australia's most iconic sparklings and we are extremely pleased to be hosting an intimate dining experience for the inaugural release of Jeté En Pointe Sparkling Pinot Meunier, guided by Chief Winemaker, Nic Bowen.
Join us in our new event space ...by Old Bridge on Thursday 21st September for 'The Art of Sparkling: Jeté En Pointe Launch Dinner'.
This is set to be an extremely exclusive event as it is the first official tasting of this wine and we are one of the only retail venues in the country to have access to the new release...lucky us! Tickets are limited and our events have been selling out quickly, so if you're interested be sure to secure your tickets to avoid disappointment!
Throughout the evening guests will enjoy a grazing platter followed by four-courses from the talented catering team, Rossen & Cook, paired with the Jeté sparkling range, including the brand new limited-edition gem.
Sourced from a single parcel, head and shoulders above the rest, the Jeté En Pointe is an exploration of méthode traditionnelle that pushes past conventional techniques to the extraordinary. Made from one single variety, Pinot Meunier, a noble Champagne grape often overlooked and blended away, this wine proves that balance, complexity and poise are not confined to the limits of custom.
Expect aromas of fresh raspberry, apple blossom and toasted brioche with umami undercurrents. This méthode traditionnelle rolls across the palate expressing classical varietal notes of crushed strawberry, cranberry and hints of consommé. Jeté En Pointe is easily enjoyed in its exuberant youth or after some careful time in the cellar.
As part of this indulgent evening, guests will also get insight into the winemaking process, tasting the 'still components' that make up sparkling wine.
