NOT JUST ANOTHER SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE

NOT JUST ANOTHER SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE

Old Bridge Cellars, a family-owned and run liquor store with locations in North Fremantle and Como, has built its brand on trust and showing the real faces behind the business.

That is the ethos they wanted to bring across to their latest venture, the Old Bridge Quarterly Drop, a bespoke wine subscription service designed to redefine your wine experience and take you on a shared journey.

To kick things off, you’ll answer a series of curated questions. You'll share your wine preferences, selecting your desired price point, style and quantity, as well as providing a bit of extra information along the way, like are you more of a 'traditionalist' when it comes to wine, or would you call yourself 'adventurous'? The team will then personally curate each box based on these selections and get them packed up and sent out every three months.

This may sound similar to how most wine clubs work, however it's the touch of small business charm and dedication to supporting the artisan liquor industry that makes this subscription service stand out from the rest.

Old Bridge Cellars Proprietor, Jay Beeson, said it was the wholehearted trust of their customers that led them to launch the Old Bridge Quarterly Drop.

“In the past we were hesitant to dip our toe into the subscription world. We’ve always loved the idea, but hadn’t come across any locally that we would personally sign up to. Some brands use subscription services to move old vintages or slow-selling stock. We knew this is something we would never do, so like all things we do at Old Bridge Cellars, we went in the opposite direction” said Mr Beeson.

“Our customers often say to us ‘just pick for me, I trust you’ when they’re in the store. Our regular newsletter features mystery wines, where we encourage people to 'Thank Me Later' by purchasing the wine blind, and our popular online live blind tasting sessions are cherished by our customers. All these things solidified this trust and long-term relationships and empowered us to innovate.”

“The Old Bridge Quarterly Drop isn't just another subscription service, it's a commitment to expanding your palate, exploring undiscovered gems and embarking on a shared journey. We want to support the little guy, share stories from smaller producers and give the spotlight to those that may not otherwise receive it.”

The Old Bridge Quarterly Drop ranges from $150 - $480 every three months and can be delivered or picked up. All orders placed before this quarter’s cut off date (April 30) will receive a free Old Bridge Cellars wooden corkscrew - a small token of appreciation for early supporters.
